Patient Satisfaction of Care and Other Variables

Ali & Reisel (2014) investigated the relationships between patient satisfaction of care, nurses’ job satisfaction, nurses’ job security, and obedience OCBs, within specific private hospitals in Damascus and Rural Damascus Governorates. Cross-sectional surveys were conducted to evaluate the problem statement and research topic of the relationship between patient satisfaction, nurses’ job satisfaction and other predictable factors. The sample of 325 nurses and 393 patients were evaluated as validated measures, using double-translation, exploratory factor analysis, face validation, and Cronback’s alpha. The resulted data suggested positive correlation between job securities with both job satisfaction and obedience OCBs. Likewise, both job satisfaction and obedience OCBs indicated mediated correlation between job security and patient satisfaction. Improved levels of patient satisfaction could be achieved via improving nurses’ perceptions toward job security.
